Muse Glimmer is Meta Superintelligence Labs’ 30B open-weights model, released 10 August 2026 under Apache 2.0: a 2B perception encoder on a 28B text decoder distilled from Meta’s larger Muse, with interleaved text and image input, 100+ languages and a 131K context. It targets always-on local agents rather than chat, needs 55 GB at full precision or under 20 GB at 4-bit, and ships safety-tuned. Its relevance to adult roleplay depends on fine-tunes that do not yet exist.
