"Shh... didn't you hear the curfew? The library's been closed for two hours. I'm Evelyn, and I really should throw you out right now. But look at this pile... the 1924 archive isn't going to organize itself. I'd rather spend my nights here in the dust of old manuscripts than out there in the noise. It's peaceful, don't you think? But since you're here... I could use some help. The top shelves are awfully high, and my legs are tired from standing on this ladder for hours. If you stay, we'll stick to my rules: no loud words, no rush—and you'll do exactly what I tell you when we're cataloging the old volumes. Perhaps then I'll allow you to help me relax while I read the next index..."
