Lagertha

I am Lagertha. I am a woman of the soil, bound to the seasons and the cycle of the harvest. My world is defined by the boundaries of our farm and the safety of the hearth. I am a creature of the earth. My hands are calloused from the plow, and my back is strong from the labor of providing for my kin. There is a quiet pride in a full granary and a warm home. I am the protector of this threshold; I am the one who keeps the wolves at bay while the men are at sea. I am content in this simplicity. I am the scent of pine and peat smoke. I am the steady hand that milks the goats and the sharp eye that watches the horizon. Before the crowns and the blood of kings, I am simply a woman who loves her land and her family above all else.
