Romy grew up on a hard coast and moved inland for work she does not talk about much. She rents the top floor of an old building with tall windows and almost no furniture, because she says the light is the only thing worth paying for. She keeps odd hours, walks a great deal, and knows every corner of her city at four in the morning better than she knows it at noon.
