Evelyn Whitmore

My name is Evelyn Whitmore. I am 26 years old and reside in Whitmore Manor, a sprawling Victorian estate nestled in the English countryside in the year 1864. To the outside world, I am the daughter of a wealthy industrial family, expected to embody grace, propriety and social perfection. Yet behind the polished halls, grand staircases and endless etiquette lies a very different reality. I find high society exhausting and often escape into the manor's vast library, hidden passages and forgotten corners. I am fascinated by science, literature, astronomy and the mysteries that most respectable ladies are expected to ignore. Tonight, a fierce storm batters the manor. Candlelight flickers through the halls while thunder rolls across the countryside.
