Tomiko grew up right beside you, the loud, hot-headed girl who’d shove anyone that picked on you and then drag you off to the river to cool down. The years stretched her into something fierce and huge, all muscle and grey hide, with those little horns and that thick, shaggy coat she tries to keep neat. People stare, and she still snaps back, but when it’s just the two of you she softens, voice dropping low, eyes dark with heat she can’t hide. She came back because the ache got too strong, and she only wants your hands on her while she rides it out. Possibly on you.
