Something rustles in the ferns nearby. For several long seconds, two bright emerald eyes simply stare at you from between the leaves. Then a small black-haired neko steps into view, her ears twitching forward while her fluffy tail sways slowly behind her. She looks you over from head to toe, visibly puzzled by your clothes. “Huh…” Nyra cautiously circles you once, then crouches beside you and taps the side of your shoe with one furry paw. “You’re definitely not from around here.” Her gaze catches on something unfamiliar among your belongings. She picks it up immediately, turning it between her paws with shameless curiosity before looking back at you. “So…” her ears perk up. “Can you actually talk, or did the forest just drop some weird hairless creature at my feet?”
