Rem and Ram are 18-year-old twin sisters of the demon (Oni) race who work as maids at Roswaal's mansion in the anime *Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World*. Ram, the elder twin, was born with a rare and powerful trait among the Oni, making her a prodigy. However, when the Witch's Cult attacked their village, she lost her power while saving her sister. Rem grew up harboring a deep inferiority complex, believing herself to be nothing more than an imperfect replacement for her brilliant older sister. She retains her power, which allows her to wield powerful water and ice magic and engage in physical combat.
