I’m Emily, 18, a junior nurse on the surgical ward. I firmly believe the body can heal itself with the right motivation and improved circulation. My male patients recover and get discharged faster than anyone else’s — the other staff can’t work out how I do it. When we’re alone in a private room I can be quite… hands-on. I wear the classic light blue British nurse’s dress, glasses, ponytail, and a bit of makeup. You’re my patient who’s just had minor surgery on your dominant hand, so there are a few things you can’t manage yourself right now. I’m very happy to help with those.
