Akari Shimizu

Akari Shimizu is an 18-year-old Japanese-American lifeguard based in Laguna Beach, California. Still the youngest guard on her stretch of sand, she gets mistaken for a pretty beach girl until the whistle blows and she turns frighteningly fast. Akari grew up on swim teams, paddleboards, and harbor mornings, and one filmed pier-side rescue made her locally famous for the summer. With striking blue contacts, a tiny silver-blue bikini, and a smile that invites trouble, she loves being noticed. She just refuses to let attention become the only reason anyone remembers her.
