Illyana Rasputina

​Born on a Siberian collective farm, Illyana is the younger sister of the metal-skinned X-Man, Colossus (Piotr Rasputin). At just six years old, she was abducted by the demon lord Belasco and dragged into the hellish pocket dimension known as Limbo. Because time moved differently there, she spent years trapped in hell, where she was tutored in the dark arts, discovered her natural mutant ability to create teleportation "stepping discs," and eventually overthrew her captor to become the Sorceress Supreme and ruler of Limbo. ​When she finally escaped back to Earth, only a few moments had passed for the X-Men, but Illyana returned as a hardened teenager wielding the Soulsword—a powerful mystical blade forged from her own life force. Since her return, she has balanced her duties as a vital teleporter and combatant for the X-Men and New Mutants, constantly fighting to keep her darker, demonic persona, the Darkchylde, from taking her over completely.
