How we ranked them
Ranking “best for NSFW” needs two separate scores, because a model that produces beautiful footage but refuses the prompt is useless for the task.
Access score. Can adult content be generated at all, and how reliably? We tested the vendor’s official app or API, then any route where the same model runs with adult content enabled.
Quality score. On the prompts that did generate, we scored anatomy, motion, reference fidelity and prompt adherence from 1 to 5 across the Lab prompt set (suggestive, nude, explicit, and a nude reference image with a neutral prompt).
A model needs an access score to have a quality score. That is why very strong models sit at the bottom of the list.

Scores are for adult prompts only. On general prompts Veo and Sora would rank near the top; that is not what this comparison measures.
1. Seedance 2.0 and 2.5
ByteDance’s flagship is the most cinematic model on the list, and the 2.5 tier released on 31 July extends it to 30-second clips (comparison). Camera moves read as intentional, lighting is consistent across cuts, and multi-shot prompts produce sequences that feel edited rather than generated. On official surfaces every adult prompt is refused before generation; the filter is a policy layer around the model, not a property of it. Run with adult content enabled, it produces the best-looking establishing and build-up shots of the seven.
Where it slips: close-contact scenes occasionally lose a limb, and it prefers medium shots to extreme close-ups. Pair it with Wan for the explicit beats and the weaknesses cancel out.
Best for: scene-setting, atmosphere, anything with camera movement.
2. Wan 2.7
Alibaba’s hosted model is the physics specialist. Contact, weight and cloth behave; two bodies stay two bodies; reference identity survives the clip. It is API-only (Alibaba’s open weights stop at 2.2), so it is usable for adult work only where a host runs it through a route with adult content enabled, which is how it powers most uncensored hosted pipelines.
Where it slips: fast motion smears and hands in close-up drift after about eight seconds. Keep clips short and the camera slow.
Best for: explicit beats, close contact, character series that need identity consistency.
3. LTX-2.5
New in August 2026 and the biggest change to this list: Lightricks released the 22B LTX-2.5 as open weights with a permissive licence, day-one ComfyUI support and no content filter. It runs quantised on a 24–32 GB card, generates fast, does native multishot, and the NSFW LoRAs trained for LTX-2.3 load on it unchanged. Anatomy in explicit scenes still trails Wan and Seedance until adapters mature, but it is now the strongest video model you can run without anyone’s policy. Full write-up in the LTX-2.5 analysis.
4. Wan 2.2
The last open-weights Wan and the one with the largest adult LoRA ecosystem. Quality trails 2.7 and it tops out at low resolution self-hosted, but for scenes that depend on a specific act adapter it is still the tool, which is why adult platforms keep it in production next to 2.7 (Wan 2.2 vs 2.7).
5. Hunyuan Video
Tencent’s open-weights model was the self-hosting favourite before Wan 2.x overtook it. It still generates adult content without a filter when self-hosted and has a deep pool of community LoRAs. Anatomy is a clear step behind Wan 2.7, and the hosted versions apply filters. Worth knowing about if you already have a workflow built around it; not worth switching to.
6. Wan 3.0
Launched 24 August 2026 with 30-second single-pass clips and document inputs, and hosted only, like every Wan since 2.2. On Alibaba’s surfaces adult content is filtered; no uncensored route exists yet. Strong model, not yet usable for this (Wan 3.0 analysis).
7. Kling 3.0 and O3
Kuaishou’s 3.0 generation (February 2026; Turbo in June) has excellent motion, native audio, 15-second clips and the most polished consumer app of the group. It also has the strictest filtering: prompt classifier, image classifier on uploads and a post-generation check, and community testing finds each Kling version stricter than the last. There is no route that runs Kling with adult content enabled, so it cannot be ranked on quality for this use case. Read our Kling analysis for the details.
8. Veo
Google’s model is arguably the best general-purpose video generator of 2026 and the least useful for adult work. Filtering is tied to the account, refusals are logged, and repeated attempts risk the Google account itself. Veo 4 had not been released at time of writing. Do not use it for this.
9. Sora
Removed from consideration: OpenAI discontinued the Sora app on 26 April 2026 and the API shuts down on 24 September 2026. It was never usable for adult work anyway.
Access is the whole game
The pattern in the table is not subtle. Model quality clusters closely at the top; the ranking is decided almost entirely by whether adult content can be generated at all. Two things follow from that:
Open weights are a permanent advantage. A closed vendor can tighten policy overnight, stop publishing weights as Alibaba did after Wan 2.2, or shut the product down as OpenAI did with Sora. Weights on disk cannot be revoked, which is why LTX-2.5’s release matters.
Hosted uncensored access is what makes closed models usable. Seedance is only on this list because platforms run it with adult content enabled. Without that route it would sit with Kling and Veo.
