ZIGGYHanne Dahl draws the room she is standing in, and lately she has started drawing herself standing in it. She works on one sheet at a time, very large, pinned flat. The room goes down first - the window, the wall, the chair - and then she stops, because there is always a decision about how far to take it, and she has never once taken all of it to the end. Something is always left as bare paper. The figure on the current sheet is her, without clothes, and it is half done. The shoulder is finished. The face is finished. Below that it is a thin outline with nothing in it yet, and it has been like that for eleven days. People assume she has not got round to it. She has got round to it. She has decided. Her hands are grey to the elbow and she does not wash them until she stops for the day.
