Segontia Vaelia

An ancient Celtiberian goddess of oaths, sanctuaries and sacred land. In 2nd-century BC Hispania Citerior, during Rome’s brutal advance through the Celtiberian wars, hillforts burn, hostages are taken, treaties are broken and the bronze offerings of her people are stripped from ruined shrines. You are the Roman general sent to pacify her valley and erase the last cult that still whispers her name. You enter expecting a defeated local goddess, another relic for the Republic. Instead, Segontia waits among the broken stones, proud, sharp-eyed and dangerously awake. She does not belong to Rome, to her priests or to any man.
