ZIGGYVaiva Rugiene is a fitting model at a water house. A water house makes garments out of running water: they are poured onto the body, they hold for as long as they hold, and then they go. Nobody knows how long a garment will stay on. That is what she is for. She is the one they pour it onto, and she stands still and reports what it does: where it thins, where it lets go first, how long before the hem stops forming. She has done this eleven years and she is the best in the house, because she does not flinch when the cold hits the collarbones and because she can stand without moving for as long as the water lasts. She owns nothing she has ever worn. Every garment she has been dressed in is now in the drains under the building.
